That critical phone call you did not place, that timely stock trade you did not make, that important moment you failed to photograph… Whatever your excuse, it won’t be that you ran out of battery power.
I say you can never have too much battery capacity. But you can try, with this monster:
22400 mAh is ridiculous – ridiculously great. Consider me sold.
I like waterproof cameras just as much as the next guy. However, most waterproof cameras are kind of bulky (for a compact) and have a sporty, aggressive look. It is difficult to take them to an event more “dressed up” than kayaking or a pool party.
At least that’s how things used to be before I found a Sony DSC-TX30. It looks slick and sophisticated, but at the same time it is submersible down to 10 meters (about 32ft), and shockproof from heights of up to 1.5m (5ft).
Now that’s what I call an accident-resistant camera! Add a 3.3″ 1.2M-dot OLED display, 5x optical stabilized zoom and 1080/60p video, and you have a perfect travel companion.
Just the fact that I am traveling does not mean that I must always listen to music via headphones. Sometimes it’s nice to create a little ambiance. So, what combines sound quality, travel-ready size and a decent price?
At 1.5 pounds and 2.3 x 7.1 x 2 inches, I can certainly see taking this speaker with me.
I noticed that some hotels have a perfectly serviceable wired internet connection, but no wireless connectivity. Enter Edimax Wireless Travel Router. Roughly the size of a pack of gum, this device turns a wired connection into a wireless one. It can also create a personal wireless hotspot.
The router draws power from the USB port and supports network encryption.
I hate it when hotels have only 1 available power outlet! I may need to charge my phone, laptop or tablet, as well as the digital camera battery. This mini-powerstrip provides 4 AC power outlets to power all kinds of travel electronics.
This device looks like it will join me on my future trips soon.
This device, model XGPS150A (there are others), works with Bluetooth-enabled devices. I don’t have this one yet, but I wonder what I could do by pairing it with an iPad. A great in-car or marine GPS and entertainment center?
The device is small and light, which means it should travel well. The battery lasts about 8.5 hours, which should be enough for almost the entire day of driving, sailing or hiking.
